The SPCA contacted GCTTS on Sunday, March 16th to see if we could help them find homes for several of the turtles that had been acquired. On Monday, March 17th, GCTTS member Bob Smither visited the SPCA facility at 900 Portway Drive in Houston and took possesion of a large number of the turtles. These animals are now being cared for by our members.

The GCTTS has recently become an Adoption Partner of the Houston SPCA, allowing us to help place chelonians that have been acquired by the SPCA.

The collection includes a wide variety of freshwater turtles, including sliders, maps, painted, and several exotic ones.

After evaluation, most of these animals will be offered to our members for adoption.
